Hello there Way to Russia folk Smile)))
Many thanks for reading and replying (hopefully).

I have seen this site:
http://phonecards.waytorussia.net/

Sounds fantastic! I'll be travelling through Europe, across Russia and southward from Alaska down to Panama all by train and bus.

1) Would I need to get a separate phone card for each country??....and not only for each country but for each combination of two countries ie. Russia to UK, Russia to USA, Russia to Panama and then also USA to Russia, USA to UK, USA to Mexico....etc....is there no phone card that is maybe a little more expensive but covers a wider range?

2) What's the smallest amount one can buy a phone card for?? would it be possible to do less than £5....I am predicting not, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it?

Many thanks! Looking forward to your replies Smile
Jenny:)

I suggest getting mobile phone and buying a pay as you go "roaming" SIM. Be careful the phone will work in all the countries you visit - this is the dual-band, tri-band and quad-band issue with phones.
Better one phone and one SIM than worrying about loads of different phone cards, and where to find a phone. Mobile is the way to go.

Check out Onesuite.com, it's a US based prepaid long distance service company.

They got access numbers Euro countries (Italy, U.K., Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Germany, Spain, etc) which means you can use the phone card service from there.

You also have the option to use their VoIP service if there's no access number from the country your at but you can find an internet access. Rates for both phone card and voip service are very competitive.
