For me & my girlfriend it's Sexton in BikeCenter- the place of Moscow NightWolfs, every thursday there passes a retro-party (disco '80).
You may also visit some manors, like Archangelskoe (arkhangelskoe.ru)
Gnezdo Glukharya (Nest of a wood-grouse) - the bard club.
tarasbulba.ru - national ukranian cuisine.
It's about 1500-3000 rub per person.
If you want to see Moscow from inside, you may take a tram & just sweep from one side to another.
It's all about Moscow. I've been to Spb just once, so I can't advice you anything.
