Didier9 Just Starting Joined: 29 Jan 2010 Posts: 2	Posted: Fri Jan 29, 2010 11:14 pm    Post subject: SIM card for GSM cell phone in Tomsk Hi, I will be in Tomsk for 2 weeks in March, and I would like to get a SIM card to use my (unlocked GSM BlackBerry) phone while I am there. I am mostly interested in cheap SMS messaging with the US and SMS and phone within Tomsk. I will probably use it once or twice while transiting in Moscow too. I googled the topic and found a lot of options for Moscow and St Petersburg, but not much outside of that. I would appreciate any recommendation. Thanks in advance, Didier

The easiest way is to ask a russian person you know to register it on his name. Then you can load it as you want. In Tomsk, you'll find plenties of phone shops along Prospekt Lenina, no problem! Then you can choose your card, if you want to make local calls in Tomsk or others. Be careful, if you buy a card in Tomsk, when you'll be in Moscow you'll pay roaming to receive calls!
