Hi!

I'd like to know how much does cost a camera or a numeric camera in Russia.
If you know some sites, you're welcome!

Smile

You can get a small digital (or numeric, in French) 5 megapixel photo camera (Canon or Pentax or Nikon) for about 300 EUR. If you want a professional photo camera, it will cost something like 600 EUR (Sony) or 700-800 EUR (other brands).

A mini-DV digital video cameras start at about 400 EUR if you need less than 1 megapixel matrix dimension, and at about 800-900 EUR you can get a good camera with 1.5 megapixel matrix and SD-card to take digital photos on it.

The safest place to buy it is in a big retail chain such as M-Video or Technosila, you can find their shops everywhere in Moscow. The websites you could check out are http://english.mvideo.ru/ (in English) and http://www.onlinetrade.ru (in Russian). For other online shops, go to http://market.yandex.ru , type in your model and it will give you links to all the shops (with prices) where the camera you're looking for can be found.

The current rate of Euro to Ruble is 1:35

OnlineTrade has very low prices (about 10% less than retail chains) and I buy my stuff there, so they are quite safe and provide a 1-year guarantee.

If you are really after low prices, you can try Gorbushka (a big electronics market near metro Bagrationovskaya - blue line, west Moscow), there you will pay about 20-30% less, but as it's a bit like a market, you might have troubles repairing the camera in another country, as many items are imported in Russia illegally (that's why they are much cheaper).
