It snowed last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a bittersweet way to end my holiday.
One of the reasons why I decided to go to Russia was to see snow... and after nearly 3 weeks (1 week in Moscow, 1 in SPB and 1 in Moscow again), I finally saw snow last night, at around 12:15AM, right outside Phlegmatic Dog, with the Kremlin in the front of me.
I was with one of my Russian friends and I was sooo happy I literally had tears in my eyes... my friend told me we can walk around just outside Kremlin so I can enjoy it... then he called one of my other friends who had a car to pick us up in Mayakovskaya (spelling unsure) street corner Tverskaya... then we went to Open Cafe for a bday party of some sort.
It snowed for a little bit, then stopped, then althroughout the night it snowed just a little bit.
We *NEVER* get snow in the philippines hence the tears in my eyes.
Anyway, this is one trip I will *NEVER* forget in my life and I promise I will be back... in february when it's much much colder |

Snow is always so COOOOOOL!
Hate the cold, love the snow.
Your lucky. Here it is mid-November and we don't have any snow yet. Snow keeps the frost out of the ground.
Maine has 5 seasons:
Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter
Mud season---usually happens when all the snow starts to melt.
Mud season can sometimes be flood season if the snow doesn't keep the frost from going deep into the ground. Frost can keep the water from going into the ground filling up the water table.
Freeze a snow ball to take home with you and hope it doesn't melt

It's pretty refreshing to hear about somebody that enjoys what I have come to dislike (snow) Bryanboy I am glad it snowed for you, and you had a good trip.
Already this year we have had quite a bit of snow. I like to look and play in it, but I don't care to drive in it.
Alice what is hoarfrost?

I know!!!!!
A couple of my friends sent me sms messages!
It's Friday night here in the Philippines and I just got up. I've spent the past 24 hours catching my sleep. I only got up once today to have lunch. It's so hot here like 32 degrees.... my body feels bloated.
*sigh*
I will definitely come back on February. DEFINITELY. "Home" doesn't feel "home" it's just very weird! |

My friends in Europe wrote me that the entire continent is waist high in snow.
Sigh. In New York, it's the end of November and still nothing.Dry as plaster. |

Haha.. I grew up in a cold climate in the northern U.S.. my ideal is getting somewhere hot like the Philippines where I don't have to deal with it in the Winters!
But I like your enthusiasm for snow.. its similar to the first time I ever saw an actual palm tree! |
