uburocket Just Starting Joined: 23 Apr 2005 Posts: 1 Location: Virginia Beach, VA	Posted: Sat Apr 23, 2005 12:28 am    Post subject: travel recommendations I plan to visit my girl-friend in Yekaterinburg around June 30 and stay 7 days. Once there I thought I would visit another city(Moscow?) for 5 days and then fly back to the US from there. Any suggestions? And I need advice on what to do, in what order: Book flights now/first? Get VISA now/first? And what is impated if I change the itinerary after I get there? Help?

There are some sites on the internet where you can get a visa without having anything buy your passport and a passport-sized picture. On the following 2 sites you can apply online and have options how soon you want to get it (price will depend on it). If you really want to go in the beginning of June, you should get your visa now - don't wait cause it takes time to get it. http://www.russia-visa.com and http://www.gotorussia.com I would not buy airline tickets until you have your visa, because most airline tickets are not refundable (unless you are rich and can buy refundable/first-class tickets). You can book accomodations especially where they are refundable - many hotels allow you to cancel reservations just a couple of days prior to departure. You will need to register your visa twice in both cities, which is not a big deal if you are staying at a hotel.
