I received my invitation but as I don't speak Russian I need to know where it lists the name and index of the tourist group as this is needed for the consulate form. Also, a hotel is theoretically booked for me as well but I don't know where that is on the form either - please help!
Guys - I got some help from someone at work. Sorted!

In my case, I got the invitation through this site's service. I just e-mailed them about it, and they repsonded back promptly. The San Francisco consulate took about a week and a half top process it, and I got the visa yesterday! I'll be going to Moscow and St. Petersburg in early July.

You don't need any invitations. You are wasting your time and potentially money. Just go one of many online visa services and they do everything for you, including processing the invitation that is created by some travel agency in russia. I used www.russia-visa.com but there are many other services on the web too. I still don't understand why people waste so much of their time bothering with invitations, going to consulates, etc.
That agency above charges about $150 for everything - you just fill out an application online, send them a passport and 1 photo by UPS or FedEx and they send you your passport with a visa.

I saw many questions on this forum from people that have problems with those invitations, going to consulate, doing other strange things. I still don't understand why they are doing it.
