| I believe that gifts above a certain value (this ring was definitely way above this value) technically belongs to the state--Putin's family, however, can purchase these gifts... can't remeber how it goes, I'm sure there's something on the web about that... |

Either the Khodorkovsky types that own MosNews have struck again (regarding this being a "theft," innocent or otherwise) OR a misinterpretation led ol' Vlad to think that it was a gift, when it was indeed not. I imagine that interpreter is currently on expat.ru looking for work as a nanny.  |
