Okay then.....
Anyone able to recommend books that show photos and give infomation about the different sites in SPB & Moscow? The book I mentioned in my first post was one I picked up in SPB...and a nice introduction to the different places I could see during my visits.
I have friends who are considering travel to Russia and I'd like to give them books for Christmas in hopes they'll decide to go for it & I'll have familiars to travel and kick around with.

| the "Rough Guide" series are always good (not used one for Russia) they have lots of practical help and info on nightlife/eating out etc as well as a small phrase section. Pocket sized too.
