Privet!
Okay, I've been told the following:
*You should not shake hands in doorways, else you'll have an argument;
*Whistling should not be done inside or you'll lose all your money (I was constantly repromanded for this and still feel a little subconscious when I do it today......../wondering if this is why I'm so poor!/ )
*If you leave your home and have to go back in for any reason, you should look in the mirror and "spit" 3 times (I'm not sure why, but I was told to do it)
*A knife could only be given to someone if you had them give you some money...the same for a watch (I don't know the reason here either, so I simply avoided these things as though they were as dangerous as whistling inside)
*You should sit in silence with your luggage before leaving the house for a trip (again, I know not why, but did it all the same)

Anyone able to give me the reasons for the things I didn't know why I "shouldn't"?

What other things are taboo, else I find myself in a world of trouble?
