I was wondering about the logistics of getting to Olkhon island from Severobaikalsk or Nizhneangalsk in early June 2010. Apparently the hovercraft does not start running until mid June. Is it possible to travel by ferry/boat/ship? After visting Olkon island, I intend to take the BAM railway from Severobaikalsk to Tynda and want to avoid having to go via Irkutsk. Any ideas around this dilemma?
