We (3 people) will have a 9 hour layover in Moscow ( Sheremetyevo 2). Will there be enough time to go thru customs and have a short tour by car of Moscow or even someplace interesting in the surrounding area? Is any of this possible with a transit visa? Do short tours like this exist? I will be sad to sit in the airport for 9 hours and never see Russia Crying or Very sad . I also can not take the chance to miss our flight. Thanks for any help!

Because SVO is so hard to access, and because traffic on the surrounding MKAD (freeway) is such a nightmare, it will be difficult to get anywhere and see anything and get back to the airport and go through all the lines and searches and security and make the flight. Sad

Contact http://www.rusadventure.com/ As a tourleader for trekkings on behalf of the Dutch Alpine Club I have very good experiences with this company. After trekkings in the Caucasus, Kamchatka, and the Altai their organisation of the "Mosow part" of the trip was always close to perfect.

When are you going to be in Moscow. I am in the same situation with a 12 hour layover on Dec 24.

I think you might have a problem with transit visa.

Are you changing airports? That is are you arriving in SVO2 and departing SVO1?
