Hi,
I will be catching a train from Ulan Ude to Ulaan Baatar this summer but I am wondering if anyone know what time the train crosses into Mongolia.

For example:
I get the train in Ulan Ude on 16th at 01:43 (I think this is moscow time but not sure) but it arrives in Ulaan Baatar on 17th at about 7am. My mongolian visa starts on 17th. So can I catch this train - does it pass into mongolia on 17th?

Many thanks

Sor_Fes2,
I have found only one train No 364 from Ulan Ude to Ulaan Baatar on 16 March at 1:55. It arrives at the border Russian town Naushki the same day at 7:00, stays there for 330 minutes, cross the border and arrives in Mogolian town Suhe Bator at 18:45. I think you should change your ticket.

Many thanks.
I haven't booked a ticket yet (well its a bit early to get one anyway) which is good.

I think getting a train on 17th and arriving on 18th is the way to go.

Thank you for clearing up the times for me. Though I knew the start and end times of the train I couldn't figure out when it crossed the border!
