Hi everyone,
I understand you probably get these types of questions all the time, but maybe you could at least point me to a thread that has already addressed this...
I'll be traveling to Krasnodar next week and want to take my laptop and digital camera. What are some tips on brands of adaptors and convertors and how they all work? All I know is that I will need one and that's about as much as I know about them. I tried to research on my own, but every brand claims their's works the best and is "what I need!" I just don't want my laptop to go up in a puff of smoke because i used the wrong equipment.

Most new digital comeras nowadays work with either 110 Volts (US/Canadian standard) as well as 220V (Russian/European standard). If that's the case (read the manual and/or look your camera's back - it may state what electircal requirements are), all you need is a simple outlet adapter plug like this one:
