Hello-
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question. I currently have both an active Russian citizenship and an American citizenship (have just received it.) I am going to Ukraine this winter for the first time, and since no visa is required for US citizens, was planning to enter Ukraine with my US passport. Since I have some family in Moscow, I hoped to take the train from Kiev to Moscow for a couple of days. My question is whether I would be able to enter Russia (and leave it in a couple days) with my RUSSIAN passport, even though I entered Ukraine (and will leave Ukraine) with my American passport. The last stamp in my Russian passport is of entrance to the US. Will I be allowed to enter Russia with my Russian passport (and most importantly go back to Ukraine) even though I will enter Ukraine as an American citizen (thus no documentation in Russian passport?)

Thank you all so much who can help me on this issue. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my post.

Happy holidays!

Although I can't speak to your exact situation, I don't think you will have any problems. Travel on more than one passport is not uncommon. My daughter has both US and Russian citizenship. When we last went to Russia, we just had to have both of her passports handy anytime questions about visas might come up.
