| I am from Kansas City USA and have been married to a Russian woman for three years now. We are going to be visiting her family this summer in Russia. I just recieved my invitation letter for the personal visa but I am now hearing from some web sites that this is not a good visa to get. Will I have problems in Russia with this visa? Also how do I register this visa when I get to Russia? Thanks. |

If you already have got this visa, then it's fine. The only problem with it is that
1) it takes long to get the invitation (1 month vs 1 day for a tourist visa)
2) you have to register it in a local OVIR
Now you have only the 2nd thing left to do, and it will just mean a few hours in a queue, but then you'll have it registered on the address of your wife (where you will live).
You won't have any problems, so don't worry. |
