Hi,

I'm planning to go to Russia in July at the place of my girlfriend's parents in Novosibirsk. I just received the invitation letter from her mother, and intend to go to the consulate in the next days to apply for a private Visa. Concerning this, the information I found on this web-site posed to me several questions:

1) as we have not yet booked the flight tickets, on my Visa application form I can't specifiy exactly the entry date and exit date. Can I just ask the Visa from July 1st to July 31st, and then feel free to entry and exit (of course only 1 time) in between this dates?

2) on our way from Hamburg (Germany) to Novosibirsk, we plan to stop for a few days in Moscow into some hotel; on our way back from Novosibirsk to Hamburg, after 2 weeks in Novosibirsk, we plan to stop a few days in St. Petersburg. The question is: I read on the web-site that when one has a private Visa, he can only stay at the place of the inviting person (in my case, my girlfriends' parents), but in my trip I will need to use an Hotel both in Moscow and in St. Petersburg... what do I have to do then??

Thank you very much in advance for your answers!!

Devis

1) Yes, it should be fine.

2) Officially it is true, however you may stay in a hotel, I don't anybody will make problems. The worst thing is that the hotel will not want to register you, but if you register your visa in Novosibirsk in a local OVIR, that should be fine.
