Hi, the cheapest place to buy a video camera is Gorbushka market in west Moscow (metro Bagrationovskaya - light blue line), just outside of the metro in a huge 5-store building. Opened on Sundays as well. Usually 10 to 19 (or 20) oclock.

Otherwise, you can try an official company, such as http://www.onlinetrade.ru -- they have the lowest prices for this kind of stuff (bought my Panasonic cam from there).

By the way, the prices in Russia for these stuff are lower than in Europe (and maybe even than in America). I guess it has something to do with smart import schemes Cool

Hi everybody,

I'm from Barcelona (Spain) and will be visiting Saint Petersburg from 2 to 9 of June.

Have you been to Yunona rynok yet, a medico?

How are prices there?

Best wishes.

Thanks a_medico for your answer,

Can you give examples of cameras and videocameras there with the brand and model? I can do the same with prices here in Barcelona and with this information we can discuss about it properly.

I can advance you this information:

in http://onlinetrade.ru/static/shop/index.html

the videocamera sony DCR-HC20E costs about 495ˆ

and in the spanish site http://www.camarasdigitales.com/

the same videocamera costs 759ˆ

So there is a significant difference. I'm thinking about buying a videocamera in spb.

By the way, where are you originally from? Your nickname sounds like from a spanish speaking country.

Best wishes,

Francesc
