I cant vote either way because I do not support terrorists, but I also do not approve of the ambiguous, "War on terror". I especially do not support the efforts of governments who sponsor terrorism in certain regions for monetary and political gain, and then if any of the victims try to fight back they quickly get labeled terrorists, when they are simply reacting, and not acting.

I agree with this too. Think of the hideous covert terrorism the CIA has perpetrated all around the globe over the last 50+ years. They even killed President Kennedy right in their own country! The CIA are the REAL terrorists.

Shocked

Fire_G, they are not reacting they are acting out. Their religious beliefs make them do so. You were not born yesterday, you know that even if the US never lifted a finger against anyone those crazy bastards would still act out in the name of their god.

It is downright stupid to compare the CIA with terrorists.

The CIA did not kill Kennedy, the Russians did. The Russians openly admitted it for years. The Russians assassinated the murderer before he spilled his mouth.

Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but if you want to understand the world around you it's better to look at it with eyes wide open.

There is no evidence that the Russians had anything at all to do with JFK's assassination.

In contrast there is abundant evidence pointing to the complicity of rogue elements of the CIA.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cia#Mafia_connections_and__assassination_plots

Notre Dame law professor G. Robert Blakey, counsel for the House Select Committee on Assassinations, states that the CIA withheld information from the Warren Commission and frustrated the efforts of the Congressional Committee he represented.

According to a 1997 New York Times article, the CIA conducted a covert propaganda campaign to squelch criticism of the Warren Report. The CIA urged its field stations to use their "propaganda assets" to attack those who didn't agree with the Warren Report.

Operation Ajax
The 1953 Iranian coup d'état removed the nationalist cabinet of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh from power, supported by a covert operation, codenamed Operation Ajax (officially TP-AJAX) by the United Kingdom and the United States. The coup was performed in order to support the Pahlavi dynasty and consolidate the power of Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, attempting to preserve the Western control of Iran's oil infrastructure and to prevent the rising influence of communists in the Iranian government. Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, during the administration of President Bill Clinton, made an apology to the Iranian people in 2000 for the United States' role in the overthrow.

When such crime happened the question you have to ask is "who's getting benefit of it ?"
Did the Russians got any benefit ? Of course not, why killing a US president who was against sending troops in Vietnam?

On the other hand in USA some very powerful (and very cynical) people, I mean arms manufacturers had interest in Kennedy's death.

They succeeded : 10 years of war, the biggest amount of bombs dropped in all time in a war, 900 US aircrafts and more than 4000 helicopters destroyed : BIG BIG BUSINESS

There were a lot of groups out to do Kennedy in...the Mafia...who put him in the Presidecy, the CIA, Castro, the Soviets, and the Federal Reserve whom JFK was opposed to and seeking to do away with. Anyway Yeltsin handed over the Russian Kennedy files to Clinton and these are set to be released in the future. But it is known that Oswald lived in Russia and had been contacted. So we shall all see

Oh you are addressing me now? I thought you were still nursing a grudge after that prank? Confused Vitalsigns, when you go into someones home and begin disrespecting their culture and way of life, people naturally get pissed, now imagine for a moment that something like this is happening in the USA. Already plenty of Americans are pissed off about the whole illegal immigration issue, but lets imagine that those illegals are sponsored by their government to come into our country and take over our communities. Do you mean to tell me that you would label me a terrorist if I tried to fight off those invaders? Would you want to be called a terrorist for defending your own home? Alot of the groups we consider terrorists today were only defending their homes yesterday, and since alot of them not only lost their homes but lost their family members too, they are pissed and trying to exact revenge. One of the stupidest things ive ever heard Bush say was that terrorists hated us for our way of life. Excuse me but terrorists hate us for what our government does to them, not how I shop at Target, or like to hang out with my friends etc etc etc. Rolling Eyes

Oswald was a low-level intelligence agent which was why he was in Russia for a time. Later, after spending time in New Orleans, he was sent to Dallas, set up with the job at the book depository, and permitted to penetrate the assassination plot just enough to keep him invested in the situation, and ultimately to be set up as the patsy. He wasn't even one of the shooters. He was in the break room eating lunch at the time of the assassination.
