Hi there....
Firstly thanks for the site, it has made the visa/invitation/registration nightmare seem a lot more clear. I intend to travel the trans-sib stopping in moscow for a week and Irkukst/lake Baikal for a week. I want to stay cheaply in hostels without booking in advance which has made visa invitations and registration seem more complicated. Is it legal to book visa invitiations through your recommendated agency but stay wherever i choose a the time, without honouring the stated hotel? Likewise is it necessary to register in Irkukst as well as moscow, and does this need to be submitted on my visa application or should I simply register and state that I only intend to visit moscow?
Any advice would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot
Ben

Hi Ben,

Yes, it´s completely OK to get the invitation through this site and then stay at whatever hostel you wish, and be as spontaneous as you wish.

You will need to register at every city you stay in longer than 3 working days. There are the registration office addresses listed in the visa support application form, and there are two in Irkutsk and one in Moscow.
