Hi everyone,

I went to Russia a few years ago (with a visa organised through WTR) and liked it a lot. I'm thinking of going again in a few months. Actually, I've also always really wanted to go to Urumqi in China as well, so I was hoping to go to both.

I live in the UK so I was thinking I'd do something like: fly to Moscow, get the train to Novosibirsk, then fly to Urumqi. Spend a few days there, then fly back to Moscow fly Novosibirk, and finally (a few days later) head back to London.

From the advice on your site it looks like I'll need to get a double entry business visa. Is that right? Do you guys think it'll be easy to get? What about the "cover letter" that the embassy here claims to need (i.e. not the invitation, but a separate document from my employer)? I'm also a little concerned about registration. On the first leg through Russia I'll be on the train most of the time, maybe one night in a hotel, and probably it'll be the weekend. Will it be possible to register my visa? On the way back I'll probably have a couple of days in Moscow. Will I have to register again?

Sorry for all the questions! I'm really hoping I can find a way to make this work, because I'd love to get back to Russia. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
