The vietnam war was a useless agression from the USA against the Vietnam. The US lost the war and no objective was achieve but more than 2 millons vietnamies died under the 7 millions tones of american bombs (according to western sources). 2 millons people died for nothing. Only because US dislike communism!
Do you know that there is, in Washington DC, a famous wall with the names of the 58195 american soldiers died in the war ? photo of the wall: http://www.vietvet.org/thewall.htm
This wall is a part of The Vietnam Veterans Memeorial dedicated to honoring the american soldiers... sorry the criminals! died in Vietnam. Have a look and see how America is proud of its crimes: http://thewall-usa.com/ |

How dare you call American veterans criminals...you are posting something that you don't know nothing about. I assume you are young Russian teenager...so did you serve in the Russian army for 2 years against your will or did you volunteer for your leader of your country? Don't post something that is going to cause a flair up in this forum..you know nothing of Vietnam...many Americans died serving their country...it may have not been right, but you either do what your told or face prison...nothing about war makes sense anyway, it never really solved anything...but don't you ever call American soldiers criminals...some of those soldiers were my relatives who lost their lives....

Here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_war_in_Afghanistan
the Russian war in Afghanistan is called the equivalent of the US war in Vietnam. And also in Russia there are monuments about those who were killed in Afghanistan. Are those Russians criminals?
I think most soldiers who were sent to those places are victims of their governments. They tried to stay alive. Maybe some fanatics did too much and their acts can be called criminal (e.g. Mi Lai).
However the way in which Americans are always proud of those 'who serve their country' is also a bit strange. Many of those are poor and are lured into the army because it offers a job and schooling. When they die it is a consequence of taking that job. No reason to be proud of. |

Also, those Vietnam Vets were drafted, something that those young men could not run from, you had to serve regardless if you wanted to or not..you young men know this...how many of you really wanted to go to war or go into the army? If those young men here in America decided to run to another country during the drafts and Vietnam, they were considered draft dodgers and disrespected..some of these young men who survived that useless war are dealing with unexplained diseases from being exposed to certain chemicals or shots that soldiers received when they went to war...(agent orange) blindness, amputated legs, body parts that were blown off...all because they had too...I agree, most of this is the result of our governments...regardless of what country's military men go into...it is glamorized to reel you in...promises of stature...ect..ect...
Rimski....why don't you go way back and look at all the wars our world has gone through...there were other senseless wars hundreds or thousands of years ago...but to call American soldiers criminals really pisses me off...some things cannot be helped or avoided...you call a young American wife and mother husband who was killed in Iraq (or Vietnam wives) a criminal, who has left behind children and you better back yourself up for a verbal backlashing and a major ass beating from her.

| Yes victims of our Government. We are all slave victims in the USA since Woodrow Wilson allowed the Federal Bankers to ruin us with the FED Act of 1913, 5 months after they sunk the Titanic with everyone who opposed the FED. We are a few months away from the end of America and our beautiful Constitution. Look at all the victims on the Titanic, and people still don't believe the truth about that. It's quite sickening because this isn't America as our Founders intended for us. JFK knew the truth and tried to warn us .. Ron Paul is our only Hope now. Phucken Bastards, they have almost every American thinking we are a Democracy, in fact America is a Republic ... that is a bloody lie and people are too stupid to even know what the truth is and it's in the Constitution and Deck of Independence for Christ sake. Did anyone watch the Pope yesterday ?? Did anyone notice the Flag of our Republic in the back round, and then the Marine Hymn of our Republic ? Right after the Media ended the white house speeches and Hymn.. the scammers said American Democracy 3 times in a row to say how great we are... DUH !!!!! They just proved on National TV they are all full of CRAP !!!! I agree with the rest of the world America is too stupid to know truth even in front of yo faces !!!! Thanks to the years of corrupt CFR and Committee of 300. Phucken Bastards. |

I guess ist's safe to say now due to what we're up against, Woodrow Wilson will be on the Historical Record for the initiation of the down Fall of the United States and Constitutional Republic. |

Hmmm.........Melissa.........
Rimski, would you mind elaborating "what is it", the imperfect West is worse than? Life ain't been such a barrel of laughs elsewhere either over let's say, the last 100 years.......Yes, I know the Communist utopia was damn cool, Stalin and Mao were absolutely charming, having the most lovely policies. However, surely all the "non-West" isn't/wasn't all as fantastic as this? |

Afghanistan wasn't a russian war. It's the Soviet Union that lead the war. It was a mistake and i'm not proud of it. Russian soldiers were involved but it was under the command of a state (the Soviet Union) that doesn't exist anymore.
The comparaison with the vietnam is wrong and wil be correct when the USA collapse. |

So what happened to all of those Soviet soldiers who came home from Afghanistan? When the Soviet Union ceased to exist, did all of those soldiers mysteriously disappear? They probably all call themselves Russians now. So tell me again how the Soviet involvement in Afghanistan was different that the US involvement in Vietnam? You guys got your asses kicked in that one too. Plus a handful of others than I can recall. I seem to recall that the Soviet dead in Afghanistan was 50,000+.
So... what does that prove? That war is stupid. But no solider who has fought and lost comrades will forget those comrades. It seems somewhat honorable to remember the fallen. |
