|
|
Hello All,
I'm doing some goods trading (coffee, sugar) to Russia and recently while looking for new clients I have come across a problem.
I have a forwarding service where I have a Moscow and St. Petersburg phone line my clients can call and go straight to my cell in the USA (http://www.telphinusa.com great service)
But my problem comes when I am calling around new clients. On my last visit I have had clients tell me they dont pick up my calls due to the fact it's an international line calling and they are not sure who it is.
While this doesn't happen a lot I would like it never to happen. So is there anyway I can call from the USA and have it appear as a phone number located in Russia? Preferably always showing the same number but if it has to change all the time then I will live with it
Thanks!! |

I suppose you could use some IP-telephony services. As I know most of them just have a local number in the city of destination to which they connect your call and so this local number is then displayed on the recepient's phone as caller ID. BUt you'll have to check.
In any case, you can tell your clients that it's OK to pickup even international calls - by Russian laws all incoming calls are free of charge (no matter whether it's a mobile or stationary phone). |
