Hello, I'm a Russian lady living in Pakistan. I was given the Russian citizenship and International passport while i was here i was told that i can go to anyplace in Russia to get the internal passport. I do not have a propiska in Russia, nor do i have a property where i can get a propiska. I'm told that to get the internal passport i do not need a porpiska but to apply for the citizenship for my husband i need to have a place where i have a propiska. Can anyone please give some advise? I have been trying for years to come to Russia with my family but the Consulate here tells me that i can go with my children but my husband can come only after i have arranged an private invitation for him from Russia. For this, i need to have a place where i can have a propiska. How can i go alone, do all the work and look after my children at the same time? I do not even have a place to live in Russia at the moment.

I'm a teacher of English and other school subjects like Science, Mathematics, etc., i teach the Cambridge syllabus to children from Class 1 to 7.

Any kind of advise will be greatly appreciated. My email is RussiaOnline@Gmail.Com Thank you.

p.s. I don't know it it's possible, but it will be best for me if my husband can receive or at least apply for the citizenship from here. That way we can save some expenses.

The first thing to do is to get the internal passport. Then you need to find some residence (are you going to live there actually?) and get a (at least temporary) registration.
You don't need to OWN property to have registration, you can rent it as long as it is rented with all the regular papers through an agency. Getting the registration is not a big problem at all. You will have to submit your internal Russian passport with some proof of residence (rental contract) to the local administration and get your ready docs with the registration stamp in the passport back in a few days.

Thank you for the answer. Will the temporary registration be enough for me to apply for my husband's citizenship? Somebody told me i have to have a permanent registration and an income, to prove that i can support myself and family. We've been married 14 years. I know there's a law that the process is easier if marriage is at least three years old. I have three children. Youngest is now 8 months.

You said first i have to get an internal passport. Is that possible without a temporary propiska? They'll ask for an address. After that i need to rent a place. Ok, but i cant afford it. I can work but i don't want in Moscow because it's too expensive for me.

The registration (what you call propiska which is not entirely accurate) is a (technically) stamp in in a passport. Get the internal passport first.
