A friend recently told me about a company in New York, called IKBS-USA that can permannently add a second or even third language onto the keys of your laptop keyboard or PDA !!! This solves the problem of fading peeling stickers that look really bad!He added German characters and was very pleased. Does anyone else have experience using them?? I'm learning Russian & want them to add Russian letters onto my laptop

I have Cyrillic/English printed on my keyboard. I've seen keyboards in many countries with all kinds of whack lettering. You should see the ones in China...... Shocked

Just wish I could figure how to switch from English lettering to the Cyrillic? Had this keyboard for a year and have never figured how to switch the alphabets.

I use ctrl+shift to switch layouts, but that can be different with your PC. Just go to the settings panel, something like "regional and language settings", have a look there.

As for the stickers - i'm fine with them, three years with my ThinkPad and just fine.

Hey Slava,
Thanks for the tip. I found these guys in Manhattan and went to their place on 545 8th avenue. Ask for Catherine. She really helped me through the process. I needed to get Russian on my mac and it took them about an hour while I waited.
They even provided good coffee............

It IS a great service. i added hebrew to my laptop. I dropped it off and came back 2 hours later and it was done. It looks amazing. The keys are permanently engraved so I don't have to worry aboiut the messy stickers peeling off and leaving my keys all sticky. Check out their website. www.ikbs-usa.com. They can even do this on a cell phone or PDA for text messaging. AMAZING!!!
