Hi-i have not heard from anyone-i will ask differently-mytrip to st pete is sept 17-08.i have so far got medical insurance for my stay, paid for hotel, recieved confirmation of booking, recieved my invitation--so i should be good to go--i was waiting for invitation so i can proceed with tourist visa-now that i can proceed-what is the best way to act?wtr has led me to the new york website consulate.cool.there is several sites that can do my visa via mail-can i safely use one of them to do this last leg of my trip?or should i go to the consulate in new york myself?(pain).reason im asking again is my time is running out-i will be leaving this weekend for a fishing trip in canada-i will be gone 8 days-when i return i will have only 3 weeks to be on the plane to russia.i wish to use a company to do the work-150$-they say ten days-this would work perfect while im gone on my trip----------if you say no-should i go to new york in person when i get back?im getting alittle worried as sept 17 will come quick.Thank you.

| I have always dealt directly with the consulate (Washington in my case) for my visas. The process is not to difficult and the instructions are straightforward. Spend your money on overnight mail and faster processing time with the consulate and not on a third party. You don't need to go in person. You'll also need your passport to return from Canada, so you can't get your visa during your fishing trip. |
