Hi everybody,

I have a question about visiting someone in Russia. I have a friend who is a Russian citizen, and she lives in Moscow. I wanted to learn more about how to prepare for visiting her for about a week's time within the next couple of months. I wanted to stay at her apartment, to cut back on the expenses of a hotel and enjoy her company.

Can anyone outline what exactly I need to do to obtain a VISA and what I need to do to ensure I do everything by the rules and avoid any problems getting in and out of the country?

I have heard that she needs to get an Invitation Letter to send me. How can I advise her on how to do this?

Any help you can give would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!!!
