Hey all.
I was given an assignment where I have to design a poster about something, the subject is free choice. Anyway, I decided to do it on Russia. I don't want to concentrate on any specific aspect of Russia, but rather make a collation, or a collage of what Russia is. I want to use things that represent Russia for all it's values (good and bad), including history, humanities and art and culture. However, I do not know much about Russia so I'm seeking outside opinions on what should go into this poster. If you are Russian or just interested in their country, then what would you like to see in a poster that represents Russia? For example: famous Russians, images of Moscow, the war, propaganda, matryoshka dolls? Anything. If you have some images that you can let me use then that would be cool too. So far I have these images that I might like to use, but I know there's a lot more that I need to expose (and probably more positive things as well). If you want to see them then go to the link below.

I am also going to include some writing, like an aesthetical appreciation of Russia. I wouldn't mind some ideas, just tell me what you love about it, or what it means to you...
All suggestions are welcome and appreciated. thanks.

I've got a few pics on my computer. What's your email address? (Send me a PM). It's easier to send them than to post them online.

Find a pic of Ayn Rand, the greatest female phylisopher of all time, Russian or not. She stands as a symble of strength & vision & in her pictures it comes across as quiet confidence.
Perfect to represent the Russian people.

interesting assignment! I sugest you include the arts. IN EVERY society where human rights have been violated and free choice squashed, the arts represent a creative voice of the popular society. So Barishnikov, Makatarova, Ahkatmatova, Najinsky, and others involved in the arts deserve mentioning.
