We are just wondering what the readers of our forum think about this site's popularity. What are your estimates?

That is a hard one. Sometimes I can't tell if the members on the list are simply spam-bots that didn't manage to post.

Also, many, if not most registered users are also travellers in this sense that they are 'just passing through', post a couple of things, get some answers and are never heard from again.

Oh, then I really have no idea... I'll give a wild guess with the poll Smile

I think it's really popular for Russia travel information, you do a bang-up job on that. However Russia travellers are still a bit of a niche market, but hopefully that will change.

The site, forum included, attracts 894.326 visitors monthly. Cool

I think there's some confusion about this: the forum is meant to be a 'Talk Lounge' for travellers, by travellers. If the forum were a business, posters like Wavetossed should be on Dmitri's payroll Razz

It is facilitated by WTR and as such part of the business strategy. But for instances where questions on WayToRussia's services are asked, the forum is not an adequate medium.

Some people seem to think that their questions are always answered by the WTR Team. That's a bit of an unclear situation.

Sure, the full report is available at http://waytorussia.net/adrev/proposal.pdf (it's 1.3 Mb, but well worth it as it tells about all the variety of services Way to Russia provides and includes our statistics).

Currently there are 100,000 people visiting WayToRussia.Net every month and they view about 350,000 pages. That makes it more than 1 Mln people every year. Majority is from the US (40%), 10% are from UK, 5% are from Russia, the rest are from other European countries. This forum receives about 30 000 page views every month, which makes it about 5,000 - 10,000 people monthly.

By the way, if you know a company that would be interested in placing advertisement on WayToRussia.Net let me know, as we pay a commission to those who arrange advertising contracts for us.

Still.. the page is almost at the top of several google searches.
1.3 Mb's won't scare us, certainly not if we'®e all americans and europeans on broadband. My ip-checks reveal very little dial-up use here..

It's OK because the audience grows at about 100% every year if we don't do any promotion.
