Can you tell me if I there is a minimum number of days I need to stay in Moscow before leaving on the Transiberian Train??

As far as I know, there is no such requirement as long as you can register your visa at a hotel or police station within the permitted time allocated at the place you will stay. You can go straight from Sheremetyevo to the train station - no minimum time.
