I have a business visa and tried to register at the OVIR in Novomoskovsk. I had a support letter from the company that invited me, but I was still refused registration. Yesterday, I went to Moscow, paid a fine for late registration, went to Izmailovo and paid for one nights stay. I registered my visa.

Now I am back in Novomoskovsk and plan to stay in Russia for 40 more days. My questions:

1. Will my registration from Izmailovo cover me for the rest of my stay. Especially if stopped by the police.

2. What kind of problems can I encounter at the airport. (At least I have one registration).

Any assistance will be appreciated!!

Hi
Sorry to disapoint you, but you will need to register where you are staying... Even if you are registered somewhere ells.

Asfor leaving, and troubles at the airport. For how long did the hotel register you? If they did it for the duration of your stay in Russia ... No problem.

I've also had to pay the fine for not registering... From now on I do everything according to the book, no matter what!
I've hear thay can ban you for upto 5years if your reg. is not right. Don't know how true it is, but I'm planning to be alot more in Russia and don't want to be banned!

I hope you come right.
