We are going to come in Moscow in the beginning of October and take a short (2-3 days) trip by Golden Ring towns.
If someone has experience of renting car in Moscow, please give me an advice
how to do it without extra problems.
PS. WE have American driver licences.

Conventional wisdom would suggest that you'd be very ill advised to drive in Russia. You'll be easy prey for any and all other people you may come into contact with (including quite literally) and if you're unused to the anarchistic driving that rules in Russia, you'll be extremely uncomfortable.
You'll also probably then want to be able to speak Russian so as to be able to negotiate your way out of encounters with the GAI (traffic police) and various other random challenges that you'll encounter.
Much better to travel by train/bus, or to hire a car and driver. |
