Aeroflot has a transfer bus, minibuses and regular buses run betwee 2 and 1, the most expensive way is by taxi.

get the minibus out side the airport doors--- third line away from the doors---- if you get a taxi from inside the airport from the chaps who push themselves on you---- about 40-50 bucks
Taxi outside the airport doors 25- 30ish bucks
depends what time of day you will arrive---- I am normally there in the early hours of the morning----- when the mini bus is no-where to be seen---- can usually get a cab for 15-20 bucks then
Good luck

Hello, I just returned from Russia, I went through all at SVO1 and SVO2. I would be glad to answer any questions you might have. I had very little problems but I was prepared ahead of time. It helps to speak some Russian but not totaly necessary!! Yes I was a little nervous because of my first visit to Russia and some of the horror stories on line about these airports, but really it is not that bad. I will certainly tell you on your departure security is very strict and tight which I think is good; but allow yourself plenty of time. I almost missed my flight from Moscow to New York. This would have been a nightmare for me. But it worked out... If you have any specific questions I will be glad to help you anyway I can. You may e-mail me at itsalrightnow@juno.com Anyway best of Luck!!!!!!!!

I flew Delta from Chicago to New York and then to Moscow. From Moscow I flew Aeroflot to Volgograd. The flights were fine. I was very impressed with Aeroflot and felt it was as good as any American carrier.

Thanks for all your replies!
In the meantime i have been able to find a better solution:
flying from Dusseldorf (Germany) to the airport Domodedovo and Domodedovo to Vladivostok, so no difficult transfers. Besides that i'm reading a lot of possitive things about the Domodedovo airport.
Thanks again,

What this site really needs, is a one page guide to Sheremetevo airport with some photos, and explanation of the bus (and bus route), marshrutki (and their routes) and Planernaya and Rechnoy stations on the metro.
It costs less than a dollar for bus fare and takes 15 minutes to get to the other terminal. |

After you get your luggage and go through customs go to the Aeroflot window which is about 100 - 200 feet from there and show them your ticket. The bus to I leaves every hour on the hour. Stay right there at the window and they will take everyone out to the bus when it arrives. Also on the way back home at I once you pick up your luggage there is a sign for the bus and there is usually a guy right there at the sign and you tell him you need to get to II and he will take you outside and wait for the bus with you. This takes a little time if you have a tight connection you might want to take a taxi. That could cost you from 25 - 40 dollars. Much cheaper to take the bus. Dave
