Hi there, going to Russia on a motorbike. Has anyone had experience of buying third party insurance and filling out the temporary customs import forms?

hi,

i haven't traveled myself with a car or motorcycle to Russia, but I heard from the people who did that you can basically buy 3rd party insurance on the border or in any bank in Lithuania/Latvia – it's about $30 for a month I think. and then the import form – should be pretty straightforward, but i'd recommend to put the motorcycle in your visa support application – this way it would be there mentioned in your visa and it may make things easier.
