|
|
I am a foreign student in Russia (on student visa). I have completed my Postgraduate study (4yrs) of medicine in Russia. I have finished my college (study) and want to extend my stay in Russia. My registeration is soon going to end by November mid week 2008. I am single. Can anyone suggest me the way in which i can take another VISA (currently on student visa) and extend my registeration. I am currently stayin gin Hostel. Soon i would be leaving the hostel and shifting in my friends house. Please advise.
(Which option would be the best and easy to process / achieve - Taking the Business Visa of multiple entry for 1year or Getting married with my fellow colleague).
Please elaborate each case in detail and the possibility of success factor.
Also let us know if there is any other option.
Thank You. |

Your post is very jumbled but I will try to help.
I believe that Russian student visas are one of the few types of visas that can be reissued/extended while in Russia without having to leave the country.
You need to track this down with the school you are enrolled in. They are the ones who issued you the original Letter of Invitation for the student visa and they will be able to help you explore the possibility of extending the visa. Go to the appropriate administrative office at your school and start working your way through their system to see what you can find out.
A one year multiple entry business visa will not serve your purposes well. First you will have to leave Russia, go to your home country, apply for the visa, and wait. Expensive and slow. On a one year multiple entry business visa the holder may not be in Russia for more than 180 days per year, no more than 90 days at a time. This means 90 days in, 90 days out, 90 days back in, then out. Got it?
If you intend to marry a Russian this has no bearing on any type of visa. The Russians don't care. Russia does NOT HAVE any kind of fiance or spouse visa.
I think your best bet here is to find a way to renew/extend your student visa. |

Hello!
1.U can try to go to administr.office of school and ask to advise in this situation
2. u can go to special company who is responsible for vissa support and make invitation there for busines visa, wait until experency of ur current visa, go last day after this to EU country for example (just leave russia) and come again.
3. u can get temporary residency status, but u have to start to do it early -6 month time before u can get it usually. I need to know from what country did u came, because of it it depends if u can come with temporary residency to russia without visa or not
