Just got back from Russia.
Played Rugby and went to a Punk concert and visited Turkey

I have to say that it was best trip yet.
It is funny whether can say good or bad, but the social structure of Russia is changing. Punk music or anti establishment culture is moving at quick rate. First trip, there were more well dressed men and women on the metro. Now, it is much worse than Canada. Before, it was rare to hear about about alternative music. but now you can buy Punk shirt with Russian writing on it. There is a movement to go against the Pop culture Myz TV lifestyle of trying to look like Barbie and Ken.

Is this good? I am not suree, but it is different. I used to enjoy going on the metro and see the well dressed people. But I also like to see the freedom of the youth to act a certain way.

It is normal and good thing. They behave like any young people in the world (at least western). And like any young people, they are a bit wild. Just remember yourself when you were 16-17 (I guess you are much older now Smile ), as for me, I remember I was on my skate board doing foolish & dangerous things listening "seek and destroy" from Metallica. My mother was thinking I was going insane Smile, she couln't understand just because she spent her whole youth under Franco's dictature.
