I plan to travel to russia from Mongolia in early september 2004. I would like to get a 3 month business visa however are leaving Australia in early July. Will the Russain embassy issue a business visa so long in advance?
Also I plan to arrive in Irkutsk by train. Will I need a hotel booking? Will I need a return ticket?
I intend to fly from Irkutsk to Moscow train onto St Petersburg then train to Helsinki.

| Yes, they should issue your business visa long in advance. It's only the tourist visas that are issued not earlier than 45 days before the start date. |
