I will be in Russia from 8 June to 1 July 2004, staying mostly in my friend's apartment in St Petersburg. I have booked on night in a hotel in Moscow on 21 June and they have provided a visa support for my entire stay.
Is this completely legal?
How do I register in St Petersburg if not staying in a hotel?
If I register in St Petersburg for my entire stay will I have a problem when I turn up in the Moscow hotel with them saying my registration is for St Petersburg? |

| Its better if you stay for 1 night in the hotel and they will register your visa, then you will be legal. |

I will be staying one night in the hotel that supplied the visa support, which is in Moscow, but not until 21 June.
Before then I will be in my friend's apartment in St Petersburg.
Can you advise how/where to register after I arrive in St Petersburg on 8 June and will this lead to any problem when I check into the Moscow Hotel on 21 June? |

| Just go to this hotel on the first day of your arrival, and ask them to register your visa. It is them who will also have problems if you have any problems with your registration, so it's in their interest to do it. |

| I can't go to the hotel on the first day of arrival because the hotel is in Moscow and I will be in St Petersburg for the first 10 days |
