I am planning a trip to Vladimir. I am concerned about getting from the airport to the train station in Moscow. I am assuming a taxi is the best way to go. Does anyone know how long it will take to get from the airport to the train station? - I think I will be going to the Kurski station. Also, what will the approximate cost be?
Thanks. |

| Which airport are you flying into? Moscow has 2 with different transport options. |

I took a cab from Sheremetievo to a train station ( Ploshad' trex Vokzalov). There are three stations in the same place. A cab ride took about 40 min and the fare was around 2000 Rub ( under $100). |

Would it be possible for non-Russian speaker to negotiate this price? Then, planning reconstruction of Leningradskiy would easily raise this time ( in the morning ) up to 2 hours. |

2000 rubles? Damn! I really hope there aren't people paying more than that.

There's also the public transport option. Bus to Rechnoy Vokzal, then the metro to Kurskaya. If your plane arrives during peak hour this would probably be quicker - about 80 or 90 minutes. |

Subway is the best solution, but with lagguage?......I'd rather pay for a cab |

Ofcourse, you can negotiate. Are you saying it's too much?
Do you speak some Russian? If not, right it down on the piece of paper. The destination and the rate I mean. |
