Hello,
I have been browsing this helpful forum for a while because I plan to visit Russia in the future. But, at the moment I have some questions regarding visiting the UK. I hope that there is someone who can help, or maybe suggest a more appropriate forum for this question?

I have 3 friends in Russia who would like to visit the UK in January for 1 week. They want to visit two places in particular, London and in Scotland where I live.

I understand that when they arrive, a hotel would provide documents that they would need to take to the Russian embassy in London. (Is that correct?)

But, would a bed & breakfast provide the documents too? A bed & breakfast is of course a much more cheaper alternative to a hotel.

Thank you!

Are you sure you're on the right track?

Why would the Russian Embassy care what its citizens did in the UK for a week?

Your friends have to satisfy British entry requirements, that done they are free to travel as they wish. They will probably be asked the purpose of their visit at the point of entry, but that's about it.

Now that you mention it, I am getting it confused with the Russian visa procedure where upon arrival there you need to register your visa with a hotel within 3 days.

Thanks, I'll let them know about that.
