the k1 visa is granted and the airline tickets are purchased. so far, we have been dealing with the american government for visa documents, but what about the russian government? do we need any travel documents from the russian government?

If you're talking about the fiance visa, if she already has one, it means she has her travel passport, so that's the only document you need (unless she's less than 14 years old, in which case you need permissions of both parents notary prooved).
