I'd like to travel to Russia for snowboarding but I have never been to Russia and don't know where to go. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, our man Dan (from WayToRussia.Net) is an active snowboarder, and he knows nice places around. He left to the mountains today, but I'll ask him to answer your question as soon as possible...

Just in short, there are three good places just around Moscow (mountain ski and snowboard parks) + one place in St. Petersburg. All are within an hour reach from the city.

In Russia, the best is considered to be Elbrus - Caucasus, but you should go there with a company. The most "civilized" is Krasnaya Polyana (Red Field) - south Russia (it's more expensive also). Dombay is good. + there are nice places in Urals and near Murmansk. Again, Dan knows better, he'll answer to you, I'm sure..

Thanks a lot! I look forward to hearing from him and his recent trip.

Your site is awesome. I'm glad I came across it on the internet.

One again, Thanks

Scott
