I already have a Visa to enter Russia on Saturday, February 26. I was originally to arrive on February 27. We are staying at Hotel Dostoevsky and received vouchers from them for the original dates. I have called them three times to get a corrected voucher showing I have accommodations starting February 26 and they have not provided it yet. We are traveling by train from Helsinki. What paperwork will I need to provide to enter Russia?

Do you forsee me having a problem with not having anything to verify I have a reservation for the night of the 26th?

We're leaving home on Wednesday and I'm getting a little nervous.

If you have a valid visa you will not have any problems.

On the Russian Embassy website it reads that the vouchers and tourist confirmation is required. Is this not correct?

http://www.russianembassy.org/

"IMPORTANT:

A tourist visa can be issued for not longer than one month!

When entering Russia with a tourist visa, you are required also to present at the border check point your tourist confirmation, voucher from your hotel and a return ticket with a fixed date of departure from Russia. You also will have to prove that you have sufficient funds for your travel. However, this does not apply to cruises and tourist groups!"

Yes, that is correct, but last time my mother traveled on tourist visa, they didn't ask for confirmations.

As long as your visa is valid everything should be fine. I don't think there'll be a problem with a slight +/- 1 day difference in dates.

I have never been asked for invitation or confirmation letter or return tickets, don't worry, you will have no problem. Just enter and exit with a valid visa.
