Double ply toilet paper. Will make a change from the sandpaper most Russians use to wipe their arses with. |

Winston Wu's home video collection is a present the whole family can enjoy. Just go to www.geocities.com/wwu777us and place your order. Better hurry, they are selling like hot cakes |

Somehow I doubt an English writer can be considered an authority on American slang! |

Pork Pies in actually from "Cockney Rhyming Slang" which is a form of phrase used by people who live in London.
Examples are, like Pork Pie = Lie, as follows...
Dog and Bone = Telephone
Apples and Pears = Stairs
Brahms and List = Pissed
Trouble and Strife = Wife
You see the bigger picture?!?! |

Maybe "Apple Dumpling" or "Dumpling" - implying "Sweetness..."
However alien you might think the notion... |

It would help if my family knew English!
It is so hilarious to listen to my mom talk on the phone with my hostmom. My mom is just making weird noises in english trying to "talk". |

Where are you in the USA?
USA is quite culturally vast dispite what the peanut gallery thinks!!!
i would collect different things from different parts. Like Atlantic Salmon from the West, Samples from a Red wood tree in California and such. But it is the nice story that you tell is the key. I think you should bring something that you can add to your experience in life. Every person including the TROLLS can give you examples like towels, but it is your experiences that they want to hear. Ignore the trolls on this forum, it is your family and your friends. You know them and it is your story to tell them and you pick. |

| Ahhh.... right in the middle of Tornado Alley. And very amazing weather. There're are a lot of people who have photographs and videos of storms there. Storm chasing is quite a unique hobby that started out in the US. If you think that's a good idea to get something related on that, send me a PM--I've got lots of contacts. |
