We will be travelling to and around Russia by train in June. When purchasing train tickets is it possible for my partner and myself to book the same compartment, 1st or 2nd class. And if so how? I've read that the sleeping cars are unisex.

Thanks

No problem, first class compartments are for two persons, second class for four, however you can buy all four berths if you want no one else in your compartment or if first class not available.
