Hi,

Just been reading all the comments on the new visa regulations - or should I say confusions!

I visited Russia twice last year on tourist visas, registered with my hotels - usually only took 1 hour with my passport - and made sure the red channel was used coming in to register my cash, etc. This provided me with a trouble free entry and exit.

With the new regulations, am I likely to encounter different attitudes? I will only be staying one night in moscow before catching early morning train to Yaroslavl - does the three day registration also affect hotels? I will be staying at a hotel in Yaroslavl as it seemed easier than trying to arrange a private invitation - even under the old system.

Paul.

i wouldnt worry too much. theres no need to go thru the red line if you have under $1000. ive gone thru the green line several times with anywhere from $300-$800 and never been stopped.
