I will also be in St. Petersburg with my lady friend for New Years, also. We have tickets for the New Year's party at the Harlequin restaurant. Not only is there food but international music, pleasant hits of past and present, and russian music too. The show will include clowns, acrobats, singers, dancers, people who involve visitors in the show etc. It is on Belinskogo str.

If you want to go to a New Year's Eve party, I have been advised that it is a good idea to get tickets in advance.

Andrew, if I can help please drop me a note off list: gaelwynn (at) yahoo (dot) com

Hope you have a great trip. I am certainly looking forward to being in St. Petersburg before its 300th anniversary ends and seeing the new year in there.

Yours aye!

Thanks Gaelwyn, unfortunately I didn't get your message in time as we left on the 21st Dec.

Had a great time though! we went to the Winter palace square (?) with a couple of sneakily hid beers and saw the new year in with the very lively gathering - with all age groups dancing to the DJ's playing on the MTV stage

It got very mad at midnight as almost everyone took it upon themselves to let off fireworks - totally mad!!

Will definately be recommending it Very Happy !!
