Hi my name is Denise I am from NZ and planning a big trip to Europe, hope to include Russia.

My question is about the invitation/ visa etc..... Do we have to get multiple invitations??? Visas???? Does this mean that for a 7 day trip I will have to get all of this for my 7,6, and 2 year old???? It seems rather expensive and not worth it.

How safe is it for me to bring my 3 young girls????

Thanks for any help you may give me.

Regards
Denise

One letter should invite you and your dependents, I believe. Yes, each one of you will need a visa. They're not cheap when multiplied by that many people.

Keep an eye on your kids like you would anywhere else, there should be no problems. But when they get a little bit older.....they're a tradeable commodity in this country. Hard currency from the age of 15 to 25. No problems now though.

Children are murder to take along on vacation. My parents used to tote my sister and me with them everywhere they went and it was hell on Earth for them, evem worse for us.Young kids miss their TV and computer,at least some do, have no appreciation for monuments, museums and the like because how could they, are expensive to take, throw up like crazy on the airplane---do your kids suffer from motion sickness? Don't let them eat two hours before the flight and give them a tablet of Aviomarin each if so.

Have a great trip!

We are buying a motorhome, and we will wander around for however long it takes, we do not plan to do many museums etc,, just live while travelling around and seeing different things and people.

We lived in our motorhome, travelling around the South Island for 6 months and it was ok, that was 2 years ago when the kids were a bit younger.

Hope all will be good, or we will have to come home. We have sold our house, so we will have nowhere really to go home to!!!
