Do I need to get an invite (and pay the fee) for each of us, or can I get one invite for the 4 of us? I assume each person needs a visa and the children can't just travel on mine and my wife's, correct? Will most major hotels issue an invitation? Do they usually charge for it?

Brent Lounge Lizard Joined: 05 Jul 2003 Posts: 91	Posted: Sat Feb 28, 2004 3:24 pm    Post subject: Each person travelling to Russia needs a visa, and the invitation is issued by a Russian travel agency that is authorized to receive visitors. Hotels will register your visa, most often free of charge for their guests. (Must register within 3 days of your arrival) You have to surrender your passports, but they should be returned within a few hours, and will be registered. I'm fairly sure that each member of your family needs a separate invitation, but I would recommend that you contact the agency that will be issuing your invitation to double check.
