I got a friend who wants to come to russia, (i would do for him a personal invitation but he isnt staying in my city long so it wont work)
The Issue is, he will be staying in an apartment he rented, so where he has to register his Visa?
and is there any possiblity the landlord of the house doesnt need to see nor do any papers?
like going with an agency and make them register the Visa...
Is there anyway he can come with a tourist visa and stay in a rented apartment without the need of the landlord doing papers and stuff?
(the issue is he was there before and hes renting the apartment to some friend of his, and last time he lied badly about his age and he is ashamed of admiting it, yes a fucking idiot I know but is my friend and i will help him..dumb foreigners...) |

Yes, that is possible. The 'cleanest' way to do it (but also the most expensive) is to book into a hotel for the duration of the visit and let them handle the OViR stuff. He can then physically reside wherever he pleases ...no-one is likely to follow it up unless there is a good reason to do so. One step beyond that is using a hotel prepared to deal with the registration without demanding that a room actually be booked/paid for and there we enter the realms of 'negotiation' (a.k.a. 'bribes').

No, there isn't. You are Russian and I have lived here for a long time so we both know the difference between "de jure" and "de facto". We can either discuss practical options or stick to the "legal requirements" ...your choice.

PS: If you want to discuss pragmatic solutions then a PM wold be best. |

| As far as I know, one can go into a moderately priced hotel and register his/her visa for about $20. Also, I think one can register the visa through one of many travel agencies that do this kind of stuff. I think one is required to have some kind of sponsoring agency when that person enters russia. They should be able to help him register his visa for a fee. |

What about if he orders the invitation though this site, then they will tell him where to register or can help him register in the city he will be staying at,right?
I know a lot of ilegal ways, but i dont want to make his life difficult,so any response is apreciated. |
